Dress Code

Modesty and a good Christian
example should be the rule to follow when selecting the appropriate
clothing. Extreme fads or fashions shall be considered inappropriate dress,
and the student shall be asked to not wear them. How a child is dressed is a
parental responsibility. Any student inappropriately dressed or unkempt will
not be admitted to class that day and will be sent home.
Girls:

Shoes and socks are to be worn
at all times. For elementary students, sandals or clogs are not acceptable
for safety reasons. Junior high and high school girls are allowed to wear
sandals with low heels, nylons or socks are to be worn at all times.

In addition to dresses or skirt
and blouse outfits, neat dress slacks or colored denim pants are permitted.
Belts must be worn if slacks or skirts have belt loops. Acceptable skirt
length is mid-knee; likewise, slits in skirts or dresses cannot be higher
than mid-knee. Junior high and high school girls are not to wear sleeveless
dresses or tops. Extremely tight-fitting skirts, dresses, shirts, or slacks
are unacceptable.

No shorts, blue jeans, capri
pants, sweat pants, form-fitting leggings, stirrup or leather pants.

No camouflage (at any grade
level).

Regular shirts and blouses are
expected. No hooded sweatshirts are to be worn during class hours. No
halters, tank tops or low-cut tops. No bare midriffs, no boy's white
t-shirts or shirts with writing or advertising. No numbered jerseys.

Girls are not to have piercings
or rings on their bodies other than one set of earrings. No tattoos are
permitted. Girls are not allowed to wear visors or baseball caps during
class.
Chapel days (Wednesdays) will
be considered "Dress Up Days". Girls are to wear skirts and blouses or
dresses. No skorts.
Boys:

The hair should be neatly
trimmed, above the collar, kept combed and out of the eyes. Junior high and
high school boys are to be clean-shaven. Boys are not to have earrings or
other piercings, excessive jewelry (more than one necklace) and are not
allowed to paint or dye their hair. No tattoos are permitted. No hats are to
be worn during class times.

Shoes and socks are to be worn
at all times. Sandals are not acceptable for safety reasons.

Boys are to keep their shirts
buttoned (except top button) and shirttails tucked in. Junior high and high
school boys are to wear collared shirts. No hooded sweatshirts are to be
worn during class times.

No shorts are to be worn at
school. Blue jeans are acceptable only if they are clean and in good shape.
Boys are not to wear baggy, oversized jeans or jeans with writing on them.
Otherwise, slacks are to be worn. Belts must be worn whenever there are belt
loops.

No white t-shirts, tank tops,
and shirts with writing or advertising, no numbered jerseys.
Chapel days (Wednesdays) will
be considered "Dress Up Days". Boys are to wear dress slacks (no jeans) with
a dress shirt and tie (clip-on ties are allowed). Ties are to be worn during
school hours and to and from school.
